Biography & History
Terri Clearwater works and lives on the Jones Farm located in Cornwall New york with her husband David and their two children. She is a native of Cornwall, graduating from Cornwall High School and attended Ladycliff College for art education. Terri has studied extensively in still life, landscape and figure painting with Classical Realist Gary Hoff. In continuing her education she also has taken pastel, oil painting and sculpture classes. Recognizing the simple beauty in our natural surroundings and believing in the “higher goodness” of all people, Terri’s painting edify her beliefs in a meaningful way.
Clearwater’s Gallery was a natural addition to the long established country store and gift business already in place at the Jones Farm. Here paintings, photo’s, giclee’s, antique prints and quality custom framing are available for the discriminating eye. The gallery is also home to art classes given in three sessions through out the year, a Fall Session, Winter/Spring Session and July Workshops offer artistic venues to many. Classes are small which ensures individual attention and customized lessons. The focus is on developing a fine art foundation based on life observation. The student works with pencil, ink, charcoal, pastels, watercolor, acrylics and oil paints. Terri’s gift and love of art is exhibited in her work and shared through her teaching.
